Boston Aesthetics is seeking an experienced we are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer with direct, hands-on PICO laser experience AND experience servicing other medical aesthetic laser devices.

Direct PICO laser service experience is required for this position.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, commission, calibrate, maintain, and repair PICO laser systems and other medical aesthetic laser devices.
  • Diagnose complex laser, optical, electrical, electronic, mechanical, cooling, power, and software issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, firmware/software updates, and system upgrades.
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support and manage service issues through resolution.
  • Work directly with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, medical spas, and aesthetic practices.
  • Partner with Sales, Clinical, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams during installations, escalations, and product launches.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, parts inventory, and technical records.
  • Support technical training, product demonstrations, trade shows, and new product launches.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of Field Service Engineer or comparable technical service experience within medical aesthetics or the medical laser industry.
  • Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing PICO laser systems – REQUIRED.
  • Experience servicing additional medical laser devices beyond PICO – REQUIRED.
  • Strong knowledge of laser systems, optics, electronics, power supplies, cooling systems, electromechanical components, software, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to independently diagnose and repair complex medical laser equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Experience with Q-switched, Nd, Alexandrite, fractional laser, IPL, RF, ultrasound, or other energy-based aesthetic platforms is highly valued.

Travel

Ability to travel up to 70% nationwide, including overnight travel and occasional evenings/weekends. International travel may be required for manufacturer training and technical certification.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $95,000–$130,000 annually, based on relevant medical aesthetics experience, PICO laser expertise, additional laser-platform experience, technical capabilities, training, and certifications.
